Career Medical Officers or CMO's have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical setting and a variety of medical specialties including emergency medicine, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynaecology, intensive care, and rehabilitation medicine.
We have a ranged of locations throughout Australia seeking candidates applicable to work as CMO's. While CMO’s are not part of a specialist medical training program there are a number of other clinical and non-clinical development opportunities available including Vocational Education and Training. To be eligible for appointment as a CMO applicants need the following:
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency status, or able to be sponsored by the relevant health department. Applicants on temporary visa's may only be appointed on temporary contracts for the term of their visa's.
- Hold a recognised general practice qualification and a minimum of 3 yrs experience for CMO Grade 1, 5 yrs for CMO Grade 2 and 7 yrs for CMO Grade 3.
